How to Install the NextGEN Gallery Plugin for WordPress

NextGEN Gallery is a WordPress gallery plugin that offers sophisticated gallery management and displays.

Automatic Installation

Log in to the WordPress dashboard, find the Plugins menu, click Add New, and search for NextGEN Gallery.

After finding the plugin, click Install Now. You should see the following text:

Installing Plugin: NextGEN Gallery 2.0.40

Downloading install package from https://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/nextgen-gallery.2.0.40.zip…

Unpacking the package…

Installing the plugin…

Successfully installed the plugin NextGEN Gallery 2.0.40.

Finish the installation by clicking the link Activate Plugin.

Manual Installation

This method requires downloading the plugin source files from the official WordPress.org plugin page.

Follow these steps:

• Download your NextGEN Gallery plugin to your desktop.
• Extract the Plugin folder to your desktop.
• With your SFTP program, upload the Plugin folder to the wp-content/plugins folder in your WordPress directory online.
• Log in to the WordPress dashboard, go to the Plugins screen, and find the newly uploaded WooCommerce plugin in the list.
• Click Activate Plugin to activate it.
