Managing Rackspace Cloud Servers

ServerPilot is the easiest way to run PHP applications on Rackspace Cloud servers and keep your servers secure.

Here we'll show you how to manage Rackspace Cloud servers with ServerPilot.

Create a Rackspace Cloud Server

First, log in to the Rackspace Cloud Control Panel.

Once logged in, click on Create Server as shown below.

Next you'll need to give the server a name, select the operating system to use, and choose the server size.

Important: To use ServerPilot, you must choose Ubuntu 16.04 LTS or Ubuntu 18.04 LTS as the operating system, as shown below.

You'll be shown the password for this server's root user. You'll need this password to SSH in to your server.

Once the Rackspace Cloud has finished building your server, it will show as active.

That's It

Now you can connect your server to ServerPilot and start installing PHP apps like WordPress. ServerPilot will take care of configuring and securing your server.
