Use the SolidBackups plugin in WordPress
SolidBackups a popular commercial WordPress backup plugin. SolidBackups lets you schedule daily, weekly, or monthly backups. Your backups can be stored in various locations such as in Dropbox.
Install SolidBackups
SolidBackups must be downloaded directly from its developer, SolidWP (previously known as iThemes). SolidBackups cannot be installed from the WordPress plugin directory.
- Purchase a license for SolidBackups.
- Go to the SolidBackups page.
- Click Add to card.
- Complete the checkout process.
- Log into your SolidWP account, click on SolidBackups, and then click Download.
- Log into your WordPress dashboard.
- Click on Plugins in the sidebar.
- Click Add new plugin.
- Click Upload plugin.
- Click Choose file.
- Select the SolidBackups
.zip
file you downloaded in the earlier step. - Click Install now.
- Click Activate plugin.
Configure SolidBackups
After activating BackupBuddy, the first thing you should do is configure the plugin’s settings.
- In the SolidBackups menu in the WordPress dashboard, click Settings.
- Choose your desired backup configuration options.
- Click Test settings to ensure backups are configured properly.
