Use the Redis Object Cache plugin

Note

File-backed caching is faster and more scalable than WordPress object caching with Redis. The Cache Enabler plugin provides file-backed caching with WordPress.

After installing Redis and the PHP Redis client extension, enable Redis object caching in WordPress using the steps below.

1. Log into your WordPress dashboard.
2. Click on Plugins in the sidebar.
3. Click Add new plugin.
4. Search for “Redis Object Cache” in the Search plugins box.
5. Click Install.
6. Click Activate.
7. In the WordPress Settings menu, click Redis.
8. Click Enable Object Cache.
