Getting Started with Domains and DNS Records
This series will guide you through adding domains to your apps and setting
your DNS records to point to your server.
-
Registering a domain is one of the first things you should do when
you're ready to build a website.
-
Adding domains to you app ensures web requests get forwarded
correctly when they hit your server.
-
Using subdomains with ServerPilot is exactly the same as any other
domain name.
-
To redirect all requests to a different domain name, create a
.htaccess file in your app's web root directory.
-
These tutorials show how the concepts to set your DNS records
are similar across providers.
-
Reverse DNS is controlled by your server provider and is not
related to your domain's DNS.
-
Internationalized Domain Names (IDNs) are domain names that contain
non-ASCII characters.
